Sam Evans is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) with a Masters of Science in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Sam’s medical career began as a U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman, assigned for most of his career to Fleet Marine Force. This involved caring for men in both clinical settings as well as worldwide deployments, where he was operating with complete independence. His next venture was a Registered Nurse in a major metropolitan ER. During his time at the ER, Sam achieved Certified Emergency Nurse status, and was trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Since 2013, he’s spent 2 years in Urgent Care, performing all aspects of family practice care, as well as procedures like suturing, incision and drainage, casting and splinting. He’s also worked in local retail health for 8 years, practicing primary/family care for all ages. Sam operated one of the highest volume clinics in the Louisville, KY region with exceptionally high patient satisfaction ratings.
But what drew him to men’s health was his own personal experience with Testosterone Replacement Therapy. He’s been receiving this treatment for over a decade, and saw an opportunity to help patients with struggles similar to his own.
Sam feels it’s part of his duty to bring men’s health issues out of the darkness, and into the light, without shame or embarrassment. Men have quietly suffered with Low-T, erectile dysfunction, and many other maladies for far too long. Many successful treatment options exist, and he hopes to bring these services, and the quality of life these services may provide, to his patients.
Beyond his devotion to his work, he’s also devoted to his family, and spends most of his time with his wife and adult children. He also loves the outdoors, photography, and reading.
